Equally fascinating is the Cilento hinterland, the ideal place for those who enjoy walking or trekking in the fresh air and for those who want to immerse themselves in the past through the two wonderful archaeological sites of Paestum and Velia.

Ferries to Cilento Connections and travel options

The connections to Cilento are provided by the shipping company Alilauro (Alicost) and are active only in summer with weekly departures.

The hydrofoils that cover the routes to Cilento reach in a short time from the capital Salerno the towns of Agropoli, San Marco, Acciaroli, Casalvelino, Pisciotta, Palinuro, Camerota, Sapri and connect the different places.

In addition, two trips are added three times a week, reaching both Capri and Naples. There are also additional departures from Cilento towards the Aeolian Islands, from the port of Sapri you can reach the islands of Stromboli, Vulcano, Panarea, Salina and Lipari.

Hydrofoils to Cilento do not carry vehicles, but only passengers, luggage and pets, for which it is always advisable to book in advance. Access for disabled passengers is possible only on some hydrofoils.

During the crossings from Cilento, passengers on board can relax on the comfortable armchairs in the air-conditioned lounges or sit on the upper outdoor decks where you can enjoy the wonderful coastal scenery.
