Ferries to Norway All the travel offers on MrFerry!

Norway is the northernmost country of the Scandinavian Peninsula. It borders with Sweden, Finland, and Russia. This country’s landscapes are unique and unforgettable, while the efficiency and high quality of all types of transport make it the ideal travel destination for independent travellers who like to organize their trip at their own pace.

The western coast of Norway faces the Atlantic Ocean, while the southern coast, where its main city – Oslo – is located, lies along the North Sea. Norway is the land of fjords, trolls, and Vikings. Every year thousands of visitors are charmed by its wild nature and its dynamic, futuristic cities.

In summer, it is the ideal destination if you want to escape the extreme heat, while in the wintertime, you can enjoy the astounding northern light. If you want to visit Norway’s unique fjords, remember that they are located on the Western Coast (on the ocean), where you can also visit the wonderful cities of Bergen and Stavanger. Both cities are about 8 hours by car from the capital, but the motorway connections are excellent. If you prefer to travel by train, remember that the Oslo-Bergen route is one of the most beautiful scenic routes in the world.

You can take the ferry to Norway from Denmark and start the vacation on board. The ferry company you will travel with is the Danish DFDS , one of the biggest ferry companies of Northern Europe.

Ferries to Norway Connections and travel options

If you love a vacation on the road, Norway is the right destination for you. There are two ferry routes all year long: from Oslo to Copenhagen and from Oslo to Frederikshavn, both operated by DFDS . Their ferries have a wide and spacious garage, allowing you to board easily with your car, motorbike or motorhome.

The route Oslo - Copenhagen connects the two capital cities and is the longest one. The trip lasts about 19 hours, and you can depart 6 days per week, on the afternoons.

The crossing Oslo - Frederikshavn allows you to reach the north-western Danish coast in 10 hours.

All DFDS ferries connecting Norway to Denmark are modern and comfortable. They have several on-board services such as bars, cafeterias, restaurants, duty-free shops, children clubs, wi-fi service, even a solarium, sauna, and pool!

If you want a relaxing crossing, you can book a cosy reclining seat or a private cabin. This last option includes internal and external cabins, spacious suites, special care and pet friendly cabins.

Take the ferry to Norway and discover astounding places!

Take a ferry to Norway and visit the unique natural wonders of this country!

The most visited destination in the country are certainly the fjords, long stretches of sea where the blue of the water and the green of the woods blend in a spectacular combination. The most beautiful of all is the Sognefjord, which reaches out for 200 kilometers in the Vestlandet region. Starting from Oslo, in 5 hours by car you can reach Øvre Årdal, the innermost town of the fjord. After exploring the stunning coastline, head inland and make your way to Jotunheimen National Park, home to the tallest mountains in the country.

Discover the beauty of Norwegian cities! Bergen is the second largest city after Oslo, and has a thousand-year history. The colorful Bryggen is the district overlooking the port: it was once the seat of the merchants of the Hanseatic League, today it houses numerous shops where it is possible to buy various local handicraft products, and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The capital Oslo, the arrival point of the ferries to Norway, is a medium-sized city, but offers all the services and comforts of a large metropolis. Here you can dedicate yourself to winter sports, thanks to the city ski slopes, rent a boat with sauna and take a tour of the fjord, or stroll outdoors in the monumental Vigelandspark. History buffs should not miss the Akershus fortress and the Viking ship museum. Art lovers can admire Munch's Scream, one of the most famous paintings in the world, at the National Gallery, and other works by the author at the brand new Munch Museum.

Book your journey aboard one of the ferries to Norway with MrFerry and set off to discover this beautiful Scandinavian country!🚢
