The island of Lampedusa is the largest of the Pelagie Islands and belongs to the municipality of Lampedusa-Linosa, in the province of Agrigento, Sicily. Very close to the Tunisian coast, Lampedusa is indicated as the southernmost Italian territory.

Lampedusa enjoys a mild climate all year round, but in the summer months the island shows its greatest splendor. The deep blue sea, the numerous bays and the magnificent cliffs make it the perfect destination for those who love diving and snorkeling.

The island offers diverse landscapes, its unspoiled nature is home to numerous species of animals and lush vegetation; there are numerous nature trails that make it a true paradise for hikers. Not to be missed are undoubtedly the splendid sunset on the western side of the island, the tasting of the excellent fish cuisine and the visit to the "Spiaggia dei Conigli".

Ferries to Lampedusa Connections and travel options

Connections to Lampedusa are offered from the Sicilian port of Porto Empedocle and the nearby island of Linosa. Siremar ferries reach the island daily throughout the year, while Liberty Lines hydrofoils operate only in high season.

Ferry crossings to Lampedusa last about 10 hours and usually take place in the evening, arriving the next morning. On board there are all the necessary services to ensure a pleasant trip: air-conditioned lounges and recliners, bar and restaurant, play areas for children and comfortable cabins where passengers spend the night.

On board the hydrofoils to Lampedusa passengers can use some essential facilities such as toilets, air-conditioned lounges, comfortable seats and sometimes a small snack bar. The journey is quite short, from Porto Empedocle you can reach the island in just 4 hours.

Pets are always allowed on board, luggages can be board and there are adequate amenities and assistance for disabled passengers during the crossing. Hydrofoils do not carry vehicles.
