The trip from Marina di Campo takes about 45 minutes, with departures at 10 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. The company that operates this service is Aquavision, which also provides services from the port of Piombino (less frequent, as these are on Saturdays and Sundays). In addition to the company mentioned above, there is another company operating in the area: Toremar. The ferry service runs once a week from Piombino to Pianosa, with a stop in Rio Marina. The departure time is always during the day. This company is active throughout the year and not only in the summer period. The Aquavision company deals exclusively with hydrofoil departures, while Toremar is a larger ferry company.
Please note: Some departures can only be made if a same-day return ticket is purchased.
